A look at Team Dignitas's chances in TI3 groups

Team Dignitas helps officially kick off the group stages of TI3 tomorrow when they face Team DK.  I've read prognostications on multiple different sites, and almost all of them have Team Dignitas not advancing into the money rounds.  However, after looking at their opponents, I believe Team Dignitas have a very solid chance of finding their way onto the main stage.  Here's why.

Team Dignitas vs. Team DK
July was a rough month for Team Dignitas. In fact, it was their first month since September 2012 with more losses than wins. Not as rough as DK, who leave July winless (though they only played 4 matches). Once considered to be second only to iG in terms of strength, Team DK has looked significantly weaker in the past couple of months. They will come in with low morale, and a loss in the first game to Team Dignitas could see them beginning TI3 0-2. However, I think DK will fight back and take at least one game for a 1-1 split.

Team Diginitas vs. Invasion MUFC
Another team that Team Dignitas hasn't faced recently, MUFC lost more than they've won the previous 2 months. In other words, they are desperate for a win. Sometimes desperation leads to inspiration, but most of the time it simply leads to sloppy play. MUFC will probably start this match 0-2, as they run up against LGD in their first series. They will be under significant pressure, and I think Team Dignitas' composure will see them through to a 2-0 sweep.

Team Dignitas vs. LGD
LGD will be Team Dignitas' third Eastern team in a row. They will be Team Dignitas' most dangerous opponent yet. However, LGD is a very streaky team. Streaky teams can have everything that was going right one minute flip around and bite them the next. This will be Dignitas' hardest matchup during the group stages, but I think Team Dignitas finds a way to steal one of the two games for a split.

Team Dignitas vs. Mousesports
These two teams have played each other quite a bit recently, with mouse holding a 6-7 edge over Team Dignitas. This should be another split, as long as the Americans play up to their potential.

Team Dignitas vs. Zenith
Another Eastern team that Team Dignitas hasn't seen much of recently, Zenith comes in having lost more than they've won each of the previous 2 months. I think Team Dignitas will dominate this matchup 2-0.

Team Dignitas vs. NaVi
NaVi comes in as one of the favorites to win TI3. However, Team Dignitas has seen quite a bit of success against NaVi recently, splitting the previous 6 games. NaVi's unorthodox playstyle can lead to impressive victories, but also quick defeats. A split here would be fantastic for Team Dignitas.

Team Dignitas vs. Fnatic
Team Diginitas and Fnatic have seen a lot of each other recently, playing 19 games this year alone. Fnatic holds the edge 9-10, but Team Dignitas is 6-6 against them in their last 12 games. If history is anything to go by, this should be another 1-1 split.

If my predictions are correct, Team Dignitas will leave the group stages with a record of 9-5. That will be good enough to move on. What do you think? Are my predictions way off, or spot on? Let me know in the comments below!
